Candid Owl create high quality lampshades, by hand.  Each lamp shade is made by a member of our professional team, using luxurious fabrics sourced from the UK.


Our techniques used will ensure your product is finished to a high standard and of superior quality to the mass produced offering of large retailers.

If you place an order with us for a lampshade, whatever the size, your shipping within the UK will always be free! 

All UK orders are dispatched via tracked 48 hour services and should arrive with you within 2 working days from time of dispatch.  Our shipping partners are Royal Mail and Parcelforce.
***We are currently working to a 2 week production time for all of our handmade lampshades***


At present we are now only shipping our items within the UK. 

Fabric Sample Service

We offer a completely free fabric and lining sample service, to assist with colour matching.  Samples of all of our fabrics and lining's can be requested here.

Lead Times

All handmade lampshade orders typically take 7 days to be dispatched, however, during periods of high volume the lead time may increase. Information on our current lead time can be found at the top of our Home page, along with your order confirmation email and on the listing itself, in times of higher demand. 

All lamp and accessory orders will be dispatched straight away.


All of our items are returnable, however, please remember each lampshade is individually hand made to order. As such, we advise you to please measure your space carefully to ensure that you are ordering the correct diameter and height for your needs.

If you would like to return or exchange your lampshade or lighting order, please email the team at within 30 days of receipt.  This must be done, prior to the return of your order.

Due to the fragile nature of lampshades and lamps, please ensure all items are securely boxed, ideally using their original packaging; we cannot be held responsible for any damages that may occur in transit back to us.
The final condition of the returned item(s) may affect the refunded amount.

We recommend a tracked and compensated service to ensure the order arrives safely back with us.
Please note; Hermes do not offer damage compensation for lampshades and as a result, we advise against the use of their services.
